Professional Background and Training

Dr. Bellairs earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, where he graduated with honors and was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He then completed a rigorous seven-year residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Washington, one of the nation’s leading ENT programs. This gave him broad experience in treating complex ear, nose, and throat conditions.

Areas of Clinical Focus

While Dr. Bellairs treats the full spectrum of ENT conditions, he has a special interest in nasal and sinus disorders and head and neck oncology. He commonly cares for patients with chronic sinusitis, nasal obstruction, chronic rhinitis, deviated septum, nasal polyps, and recurrent sinus infections. His practice also includes ear conditions such as hearing loss, throat concerns such as sleep apnea and hoarseness, and complex head and neck conditions involving the thyroid, parathyroid glands, salivary glands, and lymph nodes.

Minimally Invasive Treatments

Dr. Bellairs specializes in offering modern, minimally invasive treatments whenever possible. He performs in-office procedures such as balloon sinuplasty, office-based sinus surgery, turbinate reduction, nasal valve treatments like VivAer® and Latera®, and chronic rhinitis therapies including RhinAer®, NEUROMARK®, and ClariFix®. He also specializes in sleep surgery, including the Inspire® hypoglossal nerve stimulator for patients who cannot tolerate CPAP.

Philosophy of Patient Care

Dr. Bellairs believes exceptional care begins with truly listening to his patients. He takes the time to understand not just symptoms, but how those symptoms affect your daily life, sleep, work, and overall well-being. He focuses on finding thoughtful, personalized solutions rather than defaulting to a one-size-fits-all approach. His goal is always to recommend the least invasive, most effective treatment that aligns with each patient’s needs, preferences, and lifestyle.

Building trust is central to how Dr. Bellairs practices medicine. He prioritizes clear communication and ensures patients understand their diagnosis, treatments, and what to expect at every step. Patients are encouraged to ask questions and be active partners in their care. By staying accessible and consistent before, during, and after treatment, Dr. Bellairs ensures patients feel supported from start to finish.

Life Beyond the Office

Outside of work, Dr. Bellairs enjoys spending time with his wife, two young daughters, and their golden retriever. He loves exploring the Pacific Northwest, whether it’s through boating on Lake Washington, skiing at Crystal Mountain, camping, or hiking along the coast. He also enjoys staying active outdoors and values the time he gets to spend together as a family in nature.
