She completed her five-year residency training in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at Rush University Medical Center, graduating in June 2026. Her training provided broad exposure to both medical and surgical management of complex ENT conditions. She is board-eligible in Otolaryngology and anticipates board certification in the coming year.

Areas of Clinical Focus

As a comprehensive otolaryngologist, Dr. Masliah treats the full spectrum of ENT conditions. She has a particular interest in sinus surgery, functional rhinoplasty, and thyroid surgery. Her clinical interests also include chronic rhinosinusitis, functional nasal breathing disorders, obstructive sleep apnea that is refractory to CPAP therapy, and both benign and malignant diseases of the thyroid. She values tailoring treatment plans to each patient’s individual anatomy, symptoms, and goals.

Dr. Masliah is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology, and the American Osteopathic Association. She has presented research at national meetings such as COSM, ASPO, and AAO-HNS.

Her peer-reviewed publications span topics including thyroid disease, chronic rhinosinusitis, peritonsillar abscess management, and rare infectious conditions of the head and neck. In recognition of her clinical excellence and leadership, she received the Resident Excellence Award from the Rush University Medical Center Department of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery in June 2025.

Philosophy of Patient Care

Dr. Masliah’s philosophy of care is rooted in compassion, honesty, and respect. She strives to treat every patient with the same attention and care she would want for her own family. She takes time to understand how symptoms affect each patient’s daily life and works collaboratively to develop treatment plans that align with their values and goals. By combining evidence-based medicine with a supportive and approachable style, she aims to improve both health outcomes and quality of life.

Building trust is central to Dr. Masliah’s practice. She prioritizes open communication, listens without judgment, and ensures patients fully understand their diagnosis, options, and expectations. She believes in following through, whether that means checking in after surgery or coordinating care with other providers, so patients know they are genuinely supported throughout their treatment.

Service, Teaching, and Global Health

During residency, Dr. Masliah participated in three medical mission trips to the Dominican Republic, where she helped provide ENT care and performed surgeries for patients who otherwise had little to no access to specialty care. She has also taken part in head and neck cancer screening outreach programs in underserved communities in Chicago. She is passionate about teaching and mentoring medical students and residents and plans to continue these educational relationships throughout her career.

Life Beyond the Clinic

Outside of medicine, Dr. Masliah enjoys yoga and spending time with her husband and their dog, Moose. They love hiking and camping and are excited to explore all that the Pacific Northwest has to offer. A fun fact patients enjoy learning about her is that she once spent ten days camping in the Alaskan wilderness with her father, photographing Kodiak bears from remarkably close range, an experience that deepened her appreciation for patience, respect, and the natural world.
